Location : United States, Preferred Massachusetts or California, the role is home-based

To strengthen the global sales team, UgenTec is looking for a Director, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development to focus on adding new partners while making sure our current partners (Tecan, Hamilton, SpeeDx, Serosep, Sentinel Diagnostics, LGC, Roche and others) are successful in the North America.

From lab workflow automation over bolt-on interpretation support to bringing approved kits to market, positioning UgenTec's expertise and experience to help our partners, build the right solution for their customers.

UgenTec is a fast-growing, international software company specializing in developing diagnostic and workflow solutions for molecular laboratories.

Our software solutions are situated on the crossroads of molecular diagnostics and informatics, building on deep domain knowledge, artificial intelligence, and SaaS principles.

As a Director, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development :

You will join the UgenTec sales team, responsible for successfully build and manage the Business’ partnership pipeline, from start to finish working with kit manufacturer, OEMs and automation liquid handlers companies. Building on existing relationships, you will drive key joint accounts forward, and through identifying and growing new partnerships, you will develop new relationships to maturity and revenue generation.

Job requirements

You are:

  1. experienced in molecular diagnostics and related technical fields, managing Business Development / Corporate Development deals.
  2. eossess a broad business perspective: have in-depth knowledge of the market and industry
  3. a hands-on approach with a strong focus and drive to push opportunities forward through the sales process
  4. tech-savvy, able to use and navigate lead gen and CRM tools for sales opportunity management
  5. not a stranger to software sales, able to position benefits of a software solution for lab automation


  1. previous experience with partnerships in molecular diagnostics or PGx
  2. familiar with complex sales, solution selling, or software selling
  3. Willing to travel, both regionally and internationally, up to 30% of your time to attend trade shows, conferences, and meet with clients

  2. How many years selling Cloud / Saas solutions do you have?
  3. How many years of work experience (or selling) do you have using lab automation tools?
